Thamud (Arabic: ثمود), formerly known as Tamrida, is the capital and largest town of the Socotra Special Administrative Region of Yemen. It is the seat of the SAR government headed by the Administrator, and is a major hub for tourism.

Socotra Airport is located about 12 kilometres west of Hadibu, and close to the third-largest town in the archipelago, Qād̨ub. The S6 highway runs along the north shore from Qalansiya in the west to Hadibu and then to the Dihamri area in the east, while the S18 highway runs from the northern to the southern coast of Socotra, through the Dixsam Plateau.
