This article is about a job designation at Banque Saint-Germain

At Banque Saint-Germain, a Valet is a female employee who provides personal and lifestyle services to clients. A Valet's duties may include preparing and serving refreshments, making internal phone calls, cloakroom services, storage services, shoe-shining services, personal shopping and performing massages. In addition, Valets may also perform handjobs and blowjobs for clients. Such services may be performed fully nude. However, Valets are not required to provide sexual services as part of their job description.

A roster of Valets is present at every BSG branch. The bank provides a guarantee to all clients that a Valet will be available during every branch visit. As such, each branch typically maintains a roster of 20-30 Valets.

Some Valets are designated as "Regional Valets", meaning that they do not work at a specific bank branch, instead traveling with a Regional Relationship Manager to visit clients in various locations in order to service them.

"We are very proud of our Valets. They play an absolutely essential role, and they have come to be a symbol of the refined luxury that BSG provides to its clients. This is a rarefied level of service that no other bank can offer. Each one of these women is an image of elegance and sophistication."

BSG's Valet service has been recognized by awards from magazines and websites, and the prestige of the job has allowed the bank to be highly selective in its recruitment process. However, BSG's use of Valets has also been described as sexist and "contributing towards the objectification of women".

Recruitment and Training

Selection Criteria

BSG employs a strict selection criteria for its Valets. The requirements for new applicants include:

  • Aged 25 or under at the time of application;
  • Between 160 cm to 180 cm in height;
  • Classically attractive appearance;
  • Not more than one tattoo;
  • Fluent in English and one other language.

Application Process

Online Application

New applicants must start by completing an online application. This must include:

  • A professional CV;
  • Photo ID, proof of address and educational certificates;
  • At least 8 photos, including 4 frontal nudes;
  • A cover letter.

The application may be submitted year-round via the bank's website. Alternatively, it may also be mailed to a specific bank branch.

Interview and Audition

Shortlisted applicants (called "candidates") are invited to attend an in-person interview. Candidates are informed to expect full nudity during the interview, however, there will be no physical contact.

If a candidate passes her interview, she will be invited to attend an in-person audition, during which physical contact is to be expected. During the audition, the candidate is usually required to masturbate and fellate up to 4 interviewers so that they can assess her skills. Officially, there is no sexual contact required, however it is very common in practice for candidates to suggest full sexual intercourse in an attempt to impress their interviewers.

Training and Orientation

Once hired, new Valets are required to attend an orientation program which lasts 16 weeks. This is the longest and most comprehensive training program in the industry. A training batch typically consists of 12 to 24 trainees.

Trainees undergo classes in service, etiquette, grooming, deportment, communication, wine appreciation and tea appreciation, as well as practical training sessions to perfect their handjob and blowjob techniques. Orientation is conducted at BSG's Global Training Center in Iași, Romania, with flights, accommodation and meals covered by the bank. Trainees are paid a stipend of $3,300 per month during orientation.

Regular Work Duties

After completing orientation, each new Valet is assigned to a BSG branch. Valets are typically required to work 5 days per week, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. In addition, each Valet is required to be on evening duty from 6.00 pm to 11.30 pm one day per week. During work hours, Valets are attired in classic black evening gowns with high heels. They are expected to be well-groomed at all times. BSG's grooming standards require that there should strictly be no body hair (including stubble) anywhere below the eyebrows.

During banking hours, all clients who visit the branch are ushered into a private room. A Valet will attend to the client, serving refreshments and beverages, and provide any other assistance as may be required. Once the client is situated, a banker will enter the room and address the client's banking queries while the Valet waits outside. After the banking matters have been concluded, the Valet will re-enter the room to perform a head, neck or foot massage, and will also offer the client a handjob or blowjob. The bank's official policy is that sexual services are not available, however, in practice, many Valets offer "full service" in order to leave a good impression on clients.

Clients are not charged for Valet services, and Valets are not permitted to accept tips.

In addition to servicing clients, Valets may also service staff members when the branch is not busy. While this is not a job requirement, Valets often do so because they are on friendly terms with certain members of staff.

Career Advancement

Regional Valet Appointments

Employees with a job grade of Valet III and Valet IV are eligible for appointment as Regional Valets. Regional Valets are assigned to a Regional Relationship Manager, and travel with him or her to service clients in various locations. This is regarded as a highly prestigious appointment, because of the opportunity to service the bank's most exclusive and highest-profile clients.

Regional Valets receive an additional stipend of $2,500 per month.

Conversion to Executive Assistant

Employees with a job grade of Valet III and Valet IV are eligible for conversion to Executive Assistant roles, and may apply to do so every year. Executive Assistants earn $221,580 to $410,700.
