Emily Rebecca Agard (born 17 July 2018) is an American adult entertainer and business manager based in Detroit, Michigan. Kyoto Salon Club (2037 - 2038)

in October 2037, Agard started working at Kyoto Salon Club, an underground salon club in the Eberwhite district of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She initially signed up to work three days a week, and was able to earn an average of $200 to $300 per day. She soon began to work additional shifts in order to maximize her earnings.

While Agard was always easily able to draw the attention of new customers because of her young age and college background, she had difficulties cultivating repeat customers, as she did not take the initiative to offer "extras". On one occasion, she was berated by a frustrated customer for being "a cold and mechanical bitch".

She recalls:

"When I signed up to work there, they said it was strictly blowjobs only, no full service. Little did I know that virtually all the girls were offering 'extras' on the side. The customers weren't expected to ask us for 'extras' - it was up to us to offer."

When she learned that this was going on, Agard began to offer full service as well. Her earnings substantially increased, and by her fourth month, she had cleared $10,000.

She explains:

"The way it works is simple. The basic services were $120 for 20 minutes or $160 for 30 minutes. The girls had to meet a daily quota of $1,500 per day, after which they would get a 10% cut of revenues. So, on a day where your total revenue is $3,500, your take-home is $200. That's not a lot of money at all for blowing 20 guys.

That's where the 'extras' come in. The market rate to 'upgrade' to full service was $80. This counted as a tip, so the girls would get to keep 50% of it."

In February 2038, Kyoto Salon Club was targeted in a surprise raid by local police. Agard was not at work that day, as it was her day off. Six of her co-workers were arrested and subsequently charged with unlicensed prostitution. This close call led Agard to re-evaluate her priorities, and she promptly stopped going to work. However, she was still under tremendous financial pressure, and needed to find a solution that would stabilize her situation.

In March 2038, Agard applied to work full-time at The Red Room, a licensed brothel in Detroit. After receiving an offer of employment from the brothel, she decided to discontinue her studies.

Audition and Interview (2038)

On 16 March 2038, Agard attended her first audition and interview at The Red Room. She was interviewed by Nazeem Mustafa, the owner of the brothel, and his right-hand man Jackson Malik.

During the interview, the men assured her that she would comfortably earn $10,000 per month, thus guaranteeing that her basic life needs would be met. However, she would need to quit college and commit to working full-time for at least 12 months in order to achieve this. She accepted.

Thereafter, Mustafa offered Agard employment on the following terms:

- The Red Room would pay her a base salary of $2,000 per month;

- She would be required to work 6 days a week (Wednesdays off), from 11.00 am to 12.00 am daily;

- She would be required to provide overnight service to management staff for one night per week;

- She would be required to service any male staff member on demand during business hours;

- She would have to meet a quota of 4 hours (or 8 half-hours) per day, failing which she would have to pay a penalty of $1,000. After meeting the quota, she would be eligible to receive a 15% cut of all booking revenues, in addition to 50% of tips.
