Born to a middle-class white American family, Agard was enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor between 2037 to 2038. However, her family began to experience severe financial difficulties in August 2038, which left them unable to subsidize her college tuition and rent. In order to make ends meet, Agard briefly worked at an illegal Salon Club in the Ann Arbor area. However, upon seeing her friends get arrested for unlicensed prostitution, she decided to commit to "going legit", and took a semester off to work at The Red Room.
