The Taipa Women's Dormitory (Traditional Chinese: 氹仔女子宿舍) is a private custodial facility located in the Taipa district of Macau. It is owned by the Altar Group, the world's largest provider of adult entertainment services, and exclusively houses indentured Inmate Prostitutes who are employed at the five-star property Velvet Sauna. It occupies the B4 basement floor of the Altira Casino and Hotel, and has a floor area of 13,000 sq ft. It is connected to Velvet Sauna by a direct service elevator.
Completed in July 2029, the facility is the newest within Altar's global network of women's dormitories, and is equipped with modern security features, including some that are powered by artificial intelligence, which greatly reduces the workload of custodial staff. Due to extreme space constraints in Macau, the facility has the smallest cells amongst all Altar women's dormitories - the size of a standard dual-occupancy cell is only 48 sq ft. Amenities for Inmate Prostitutes include a common room (with a television), a gym, an exercise studio, a reading room, a communal shower area, and a commissary. However, there is no outdoor recreation yard.
"We only accept girls who have a proven track record of good behavior in other facilities, so we generally don't have issues with discipline. We trust them to be responsible. At the end of the day, they know that they are privileged to even be with us, and if they give us problems, they can be sent back to the Middle East."
