Stella Marie Solheim (born 6 March 2019) is an American attorney specializing in defamation and white-collar criminal defense. A former United States federal prosecutor, she previously served from 18 September 2052 to 3 October 2053 as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in an acting capacity, during which time she oversaw the prosecution and conviction of former Ellison Administration officials including Marcus Barra and Harrison Sackler on charges of corruption.
In January 2054, she re-entered private practice, establishing her own firm, Solheim Law Group. Since then, she has represented high-profile clients including Prince Marwan Al-Saud, Davis Chamberlain, Camellia Tsang, Odette Wheeler and 77Guru in defamation lawsuits, obtaining tens billions of dollars in damages in settlements and trial damages.
As a litigator, Solheim is regarded as one of the United States' foremost contributors to the Responsible Speech Doctrine. Her clients have praised her "relentless tenacity in holding irresponsible slanderers to account". On the other hand, her critics have lambasted her for "taking a wrecking ball to the cathedral of free speech", resulting in some quarters of the internet giving her the nickname "Blackout Barbie".
"The right to free speech is the most American of concepts. This includes the right to be wrong, the right to an emotional meltdown, and the right to be a little bit dramatic in telling your story. Now, more than ever, these rights are being curtailed. There is a group of attorneys - the most notable of which are Haresh Verma, Colin McMaster and Stella Solheim - who are willing to wield the hatchet for people in high places.
The message is clear: if you're going to make a claim against someone in the court of public opinion, then you'd better be ready to prove your case beyond any reasonable doubt. If you fail, these folks are going to come after you, and they're going to ruin your life."

Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Solheim moved to New York City after graduating high school in 2037. She sought to pursue a career in fashion modeling, and was signed by Wilhelmina Models. In February 2039, she competed in the Miss Florida USA pageant and finished first runner-up. In November 2039, following a series of introductions by well-placed model and talent scouts, she became a member of the House of Juno, the private harem of billionaire industrialist Julian Kao. Thereafter, she relocated to Palatine Hill, the Kao family estate in Belle Haven, Connecticut.
As a consort to Kao, Solheim was provided with access to considerable resources and personal networks. Noting her intellect, ambition and keen interest in the law, Kao convinced her to accelerate her graduation from her distance-learning program at Florida State University, and arranged for her to be enrolled at Columbia Law School in 2041. Shortly after she left the harem in 2044, she graduated magna cum laude from Columbia, and received an offer of a training contract from white-shoe law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell. She was admitted to the New York State Bar shortly thereafter.
In 2050, Solheim left her lucrative career in private practice to become a federal prosecutor back in her home state of Florida. She was appointed to the position of Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida by U.S. Attorney-General Brittany Rusandi on 17 February. There, she actively assisted in the crackdown on organized crime in Miami, obtaining a total of 161 indictments for racketeering, conspiracy and trafficking in drugs in her first year alone. In 2051, she rose to prominence within the Department of Justice for successfully obtaining a conviction against former Miami-Dade Police Commissioner Jefferson Moreno, dealing a severe blow to the La Hermandad criminal organization.
On 18 September 2052, President Nick Merson appointed Solheim to the position of United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. According to rumors at this time, this move was made at the behest of figures close to Julian Kao in order to target former Ellison Administration officials for their role in the 2046 Philadelphia Money-Laundering Scandal.
