Sophie Pénélope Alexandra Bazin, JD (born 12 March 1998) is a French attorney and business executive who has been serving as the General Counsel at Palatine Management LLC, the single-family office of billionaire industrialist Julian Kao, since 8 August 2033. She previously served as a senior corporate counsel at private bank Banque Saint-Germain from 2031 to 2033. She is regarded as one of Kao's most trusted aides, having served in various senior roles in his companies since 2028.
Bazin was formerly a member of the House of Juno, Kao's private harem, from 2017 to 2023. She was one of the first 12 Consorts to be admitted to the harem at the time of its inauguration in November 2017. During her time in the House of Juno, she resided at Palatine Hill, the Kao family's estate in Belle Haven, Connecticut. Her legal studies at University College London, and subsequently Columbia University, were sponsored by the Palatine Household Office.
After her graduation from Columbia, Bazin spent 6 years in private practice as an attorney from July 2022 to September 2028. During this time, she worked at the law firms Gibson Dunn and Shearman & Sterling, and gained admission to the State Bars of New York, Delaware, Connecticut and Pennsylvania before returning to work at Palatine Management LLC as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Household Office.
