Sara Alexandra Florence Costain (born 20 November 1996) is a British entrepreneur, writer and former model. She co-founded FocalSpace, a provider of urban co-working and co-living spaces in the United Kingdom and Australia, in March 2026, and has overseen its growth into a global company with more than 250 employees across 21 locations. The company also owns the Camden House brand of private members' clubs in London, New York and Singapore. In 2034, the FocalSpace Group reported pre-tax revenues of ₤17.1 million ($22.7 million).

Costain is also the author of the online blog Sara Says, where she writes her reflections on business and lifestyle trends affecting urban women. As of December 2034, the blog has over 90,000 regular monthly readers.

From 2022 to 2024, Costain worked at the Ritz-Carlton NoMad in Manhattan, initially as associate director of events, and later as director of rooms. She credits this experience as being "instrumental" to her understanding of hospitality, interior design and space utilization, and large-scale event organizing.

Costain was formerly a member of the House of Juno, the private harem of billionaire industrialist Julian Kao, from 2017 to 2021. She was one of the first 12 Consorts to be admitted to the harem at the time of its inauguration in November 2017. During her time in the House of Juno, she resided at Palatine Hill, the Kao family's estate in Belle Haven, Connecticut. On 20 February 2018, she was appointed the 1st Veloria of the House of Juno. Her studies at Columbia University were sponsored by Kao's family office.

"When a man says that he is attracted to a woman's breasts, legs or butt, no one bats a eyelid. But when a woman says that she is attracted to a man's wealth, power or influence, she is labelled a gold-digger, and questions are raised about her morals.

To me, this is hypocritical. The fact of the matter is that women are biologically adapted to be attracted to men who are protectors and providers. In the modern era, that means men who have status and influence - not muscles and brute strength.

It's time that we eliminate the stigma associated with 'gold-digging'. If you think that this makes us whores, then so be it. I'd rather be a whore than a martyr, suffering for the sake of making low-status men feel better."

Costain identifies as a submissive. In 2021, while serving as a consort to Kao, she attended the 10-day Advanced Service Submissive certification course at the Celina Kroes Institute in Amsterdam. Following her departure from the House of Juno on her 25th birthday, Costain declared that she considered Kao to be her "master and owner for life". She is also an experienced shibari practitioner, and has stated that her devoted practice of shibari has helped her to develop discipline and focus.

In July 2024, Costain co-founded the Andromeda Sorority alongside Carmen Messina, Adeline Yeo, Helena Blom and Reina Park. She was a co-drafter of the Sorority's constitution. The Sorority was created to be a women-only secret society whose members are required to swear an oath of fidelity to Kao, its Patron, for life. Costain served as the Sorority's first president until January 2026, when she resigned from the position in order to focus on launching FocalSpace. During her tenure, the Sorority purchased a former Masonic Lodge in Upper Manhattan to serve as its headquarters, and expanded its membership to more than 100.

In August 2028, Costain lobbied lawmakers in both the UK and US to advocate for the full legalization of prostitution. She argued that, in the aftermath of the Western Economic Crisis of 2026, it was "necessary to recognize that some women will voluntarily turn to the world's oldest profession as a means of survival", and that inaction from the government would lead to the sex trade falling into the hands of criminal gangs.

Service Submissive Training (2021)

In January 2021, Costain attended the 10-day Advanced Service Submissive Training at the Celina Kroes Institute (CKI) in Amsterdam. During the course, she had her first experiences with shibari, and quickly developed a deep interest in the art.

She shares:

"Being bound tightly for long hours was painful and uncomfortable. But I soon learnt that shibari can be a deeply meditative practice. You have to focus on your purpose, which is to serve others by being a reflection of aesthetic beauty. You have to think 'people are looking at my body, I have to look good for them', your mind becomes a lot more disciplined, and your body soon forgets the discomfort. I think shibari is amazing for building discipline and resilience."

Costain would develop a lifelong passion for shibari, and has written on her blog that it is an "integral part of [her] self-care and self-improvement regimen".

Throughout the course, Costain had the opportunity to learn and apply various concepts in regards to dominance and submission theory. While she had already built up substantial knowledge and experience by virtue of her service in the House of Juno, she said that it was "very helpful to gain a theoretical grounding in some of the science and psychology".

She shares:

"Of course, any girl in the House of Juno is going to be very experienced in being a high-protocol submissive. It is essentially how we live our lives every day. But I am a bit of a psychology and science geek, and I loved learning about the theoretical basis of everything that I had been doing. Grand Mistress Celina is a world-class educator, and I liked that she had such high standards."

Upon her return from Amsterdam, Costain shared with Kao that she would like to be "owned by him for life". Knowing that she was due to age out of the House of Juno later that year, Kao offered to amend the rules so that she could remain in the harem longer.

However, Costain said that this "would not be fair to him", and expressed a desire to continue being in his service in a different capacity even after her maturity date.
