Early Life

Morgan Kowalski was born on 4 April 2014 in Lockhart, Texas to corporate attorneys John Kowalski and Amber Barry Kowalski, both of whom worked at the law firm White & Case. She has an older brother, John Jr (born 2011) and a younger sister, Ava (born 2016).

In January 2020, the Kowalski family moved to Miami as a result of John accepting a new role as a partner in the newly-formed digital securities team at the law firm Quinn Emmanuel. Following this move, Amber decided to retire from legal practice to focus on her interest in writing children's books.

In July 2029, John Kowalski was offered a position in the Shanghai office of the international law firm Skadden, Arps. As such, the entire Kowalski family relocated to China. Morgan and her siblings were enrolled in the Shanghai American School, and lived in a gated expatriate community in Pudong. Morgan took full advantage of the school's comprehensive sports program, and excelled in track and field, soccer, lacrosse and gymnastics. She eventually decided to make gymnastics her primary focus, although she continued to represent her school in track and field.

Throughout her high school years, Morgan excelled in mathematics and physics, and was interested in pursuing a career in engineering. From July to August 2030, Morgan attended an iD Tech summer camp held on the campus of Stanford University. By the end of 2030, Morgan had developed firm plans to apply for an athletic scholarship to attend Stanford.

As a result of her time in Shanghai, Morgan is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. In October 2030, she was cast in a Chinese-language advertisement for nutrition supplement brand Anne's Clinic.

Indenture

Background

Relationship with Allen Hu

Starting in October 2030, Kowalski began an off-and-on casual relationship with Allen Hu, a Chinese-American student two years her senior at Shanghai American School. The pair mostly kept their relationship discreet in order to avoid scrutiny from their parents.

In addition, Hu was attempting to prevent his girlfriend, Anthea Guo, from discovering that he was cheating on her with Kowalski. He frequently told Kowalski that he could not afford to offend Guo because she was "very influential in school, as she comes from a highly connected family".

In March 2031, Guo discovered a number of text messages from Kowalski in Hu's phone, including one with a photo of Kowalski dressed in provocative lingerie. Under questioning from Guo, Hu admitted that he had been "hanging out occasionally" with Kowalski, but maintained that she was the one who was "obsessed" with him. In order to placate his furious girlfriend, he promised to cut off all contact with Kowalski.

However, on 8 June 2031, Guo discovered that Hu was in possession of a second mobile phone, which he kept hidden in a secret compartment of his backpack. Upon reading the messages on his phone, Guo learnt that Hu resumed contact with Kowalski in May, and had again been exchanging racy texts with her. Among the messages was one from Hu that read: "Every time I fuck her [Guo], I secretly wish it was you."

Abduction and Renditon

Unable to withstand this humiliation and motivated by a strong desire for revenge, Guo approached her father, Guo Liang, a senior executive of global investment firm Minerva Holdings and a close friend of Chan Hon-Wah, the leader of the Hung Hom Triad, and requested that he use his connections to ensure that Kowalski would be "severely punished".

At approximately 9.00 pm on 16 June 2031, while on her way home from an outing with friends, Kowalski was abducted by a group of three masked men in the Huaihai Road area. It is believed that one of the men lured her into a taxi by posing as a driver, then doused her with chloroform shortly after. The men were members of the Hung Hom Triad.

Acting on Guo Liang's instructions, the triad members sold her to the Saudi indenture brokerage firm Soussan & Co for $850,000, following which she was transported to Sana'a, Yemen.

On 20 June, Soussan & Co reached an agreement to sell Kowalski to Altar Group for $1,750,000.

On 21 June, Altar obtained an Indenture Order from the Municipal Court of Thamud in the amount of $1,920,000 plus $160,000 in costs. Upon hearing that Kowalski was an "adulteress", the court ordered her to pay additional restitution of $200,000.

That same afternoon, Altar representatives took Kowalski into custody at the Women's Vocational Training Center. She was registered as a Trainee Inmate Prostitute, and was scheduled to begin Reformative Training on 1 August 2031.

Temporary Custody

From 21 June to 1 August 2031, Kowalski was held in temporary custody at WVTC while awaiting the beginning of the 31/03 Reformative Training course. She remained in temporary custody for 41 days. On the first day of her indenture, she was taken to see the Intake Officer, who informed her that her judgment balance was $2,280,000. After applying the standard 50% upfront interest and $36,000 in administrative costs, Kowalski's debt balance with Altar stood at $3,456,000.

"If I look back at all my experiences so far, the 41 days I spent in [temporary custody] at WVTC were by far the worst. Firstly, you sit in your cell all day, wearing these heavy restraints that make it difficult to do anything. Secondly, you have no friends, you're all alone. And most importantly of all - the guards treat the girls like shit. They do it on purpose because they are meant to break us in. If you are even remotely attractive, you can expect to be [raped] at least once every hour, if not more."

According to WVTC records, Kowalski was reported to be "uncooperative" on a total of 67 occasions within her 41 days in temporary custody, and was subject to informal disciplinary action each time. This included 12 meal penalties and 26 nights spent in restraints.

Reformative Training

On 1 August 2031, Kowalski began Reformative Training as part of the 31/03 cohort of Trainee Inmate Prostitutes. She was assigned to Block C, Section 2, and would share Cell C-202 with Tessa Lewin, a 20 year old from Australia. While Lewin was regarded as having a "calm and rational temperament", Kowalski was described in reports as having "serious adjustment difficulties". On several occasions, she was found to be hysterically crying in her cell in the middle of the night.

Lewin recalls:

"I tried to calm her down, but she was trembling with emotion - having a full-on panic attack and just not responding to anything I said. In the end, we both got punished."

In addition to constantly losing control of her emotions, Kowalski was also observed to be rebellious and insubordinate. Despite having been briefed that Inmate Prostitutes did not have the right of consent to any sexual activity, she continued to resist staff members' attempts to use her. As a result, she often had to be physically restrained or overpowered.

Overcoming Challenges: Anal Service

During her first month in Reformative Training, Kowalski struggled badly with anal service. She would often have involuntary spasms and convulsions as instructors and guards attempted to penetrate her anally. As such, the guards resorted to pinning her down with brute force, sometimes in groups of two or three, in order to get her into position. At times, they used restraints.

According to reports, Kowalski would let out "bestial screams and cries" while being sodomized, and then break down into a "quivering wreck of tears" after the deed was done. This happened multiple times a day, so much so that the guards gave her the nickname "ass queen".

On 9 September 2031, Senior Instructor Bilal Fahsi declared that with immediate effect, one Trainee Inmate Prostitute from each section would be officially designated as "back door girl". The designee would be required to wear a metal collar at all times, even while sleeping, so that all trainers and guards could identify her easily. The "back door girl" was to be used exclusively for anal sex, even during training exercises when other Trainee Inmate Prostitutes were practicing techniques that required using their pussies. Kowalski was appointed as the "back door girl" for Block C, Section 2.

Over the next few weeks, Kowalski's focus shifted away from protesting and struggling against the staff members' forcible use of her body, and towards simply ensuring her survival. Knowing that she was going to be experiencing unbelievable pain from constant use of her asshole, she began to voluntarily use her anal plug, at times even asking her cellmate Lewin to assist her in applying lubricant prior to inserting it.

Lewin reflects:

"On the one hand, I felt really bad for her, having to suffer like this at age 17. I was right next to her as it happened. I saw her innocence being stripped away before my very eyes. It was tragic.

On the other hand, I feel that [being named 'back door girl'] was a real wake-up call for her. I think she realized that, whether she cooperated or not, they were still going to do whatever they wanted with her, and there was nothing she could do about it. So she might as well cooperate, and try and make each day a little less painful.

For the remainder of her time in Reformative Training, Kowalski was sodomized an average of 16 times a day. On a number of occasions, she was left in restraints for hours as guards took turns to use her, completely immobilized and helpless as their cum perpetually dripped out of her ass. To compound her humiliation, some of the guards required her to express her gratitude to them after they were done with their turn.

Kowalski reflects:

"I remember how I felt at the time. So angry, so humiliated, and in constant pain. But even though I couldn't see it at the time, a few of the trainers actually gave me some really good advice. In particular, [Gustavo Gomes] told me that my natural tightness was something that men would enjoy - and it was entirely up to me whether I would take advantage of this, or let it go to waste."

Final Evaluation and Auditions

On 25 September, Kowalski passed her SWIFT Test at the first attempt. She was "pleasantly surprised" that she would not have to repeat the test, as were most of the trainers. After the test, Fahsi reminded her that she would never have achieved this result if not for his efforts to help her overcome her biggest weakness.

Between 25 September to 4 October, Kowalski attended auditions for a number of Altar properties, including the five-star properties The Kasbah, The Waha, and White Silk. When she was asked by the recruiters what she believed her biggest strength was, she replied: "My asshole is naturally tight, you have to try it to see what I'm talking about". On 6 October, The Waha became the first club to offer her employment, and she immediately accepted it.
